Membership system
The membership program represents one of the most important components of the association’s structure, as the General Assembly constitutes the highest body of the association, from which the Board of Directors is elected every two years. The association is proud of its number of members who represent the elite of society in all sectors. They took the initiative to join membership, embodying their affiliation and keenness on their responsibilities towards society.
Membership types and conditions:
Active Membership
They are the founding members and everyone who joins the association and the following conditions apply to them:
1. He must be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates.
2. He must not be less than eighteen years of age.
3. He must have a good conduct and good reputation.
4. He must not have been sentenced for a crime restricting freedom or violating honor or trust unless he has been rehabilitated.
Associate Membership
They are members who meet the conditions for active membership, except for the requirement to have citizenship of the United Arab Emirates.
Honorary Membership
They are those whom the Board of Directors deems appropriate to grant this membership from among those of stature and opinion who have performed great services for the state or for the association, or who have distinguished activity in the field of public services and volunteer work, and the membership conditions do not apply to them.
Member Rights
A- Active Members
-Nomination and election for membership in the Board of Directors.
-Voting and voting in General Assembly meetings.
-Practicing various available activities and utilizing the association’s property in accordance with the association’s decisions and regulations.
B- Associate Members
-Attending General Assembly meetings.
-Practicing various available activities and utilizing the association’s property in accordance with the association’s decisions and regulations.
Members' Duties
-Work to achieve the association’s objectives and avoid anything that harms others or the association’s entity or harms its reputation.
- Adherence to the association’s bylaws, internal regulations, and Board of Directors’ decisions, and alerting the Board of any violation.
- Commitment to pay the prescribed fees for association membership.
-Cooperating with the Board of Directors and implementing the tasks assigned to it.
Membership Application
The membership application is submitted to the Secretary on the form designated for that purpose, and the Board of Directors decides on this application at its first regular meeting, provided that the form includes all the basic data of the membership applicant and the following is attached to it:
-A copy of the passport, family book, or ID card.
- Two (2) photographs.
-A copy of the academic qualification (if any).
Membership subscription fees
The active member subscription fee is (100) dirhams annually.
The affiliate member subscription fee is (100) dirhams annually.
-Subscription fees are considered for a full year, starting on the first of January of each year and ending on December 31 of the same year, except for the first year, which starts from the date of joining the association and ends on December 31 of the same year.
-The membership applicant shall be notified of the Board of Directors’ decision regarding his membership. If the application is approved, he must pay the subscription fees within (15) fifteen days from the date of his notification. In the event of rejection, he will be informed of the reasons and return all the attachments stipulated in Article (7) of these regulations. In this case, he has the right to submit the application to The General Assembly will consider it at its first regular meeting, and its decision will be final, and the membership applicant may file a grievance before the Ministry.
Membership is forfeited in the following cases:
• Death.
• Withdrawal from association membership.
• The Board of Directors may take a decision to revoke a member’s membership in the following cases:
-If he commits an act that would cause material or moral harm to the association.
-If the member takes advantage of his joining the association for a personal purpose or a purpose that conflicts with the goals and interests of the association.
-If he loses one of the membership conditions stipulated in Article (7).
-If he violates one of the provisions of Article (9).
-If the member does not commit to paying the fees prescribed for association membership for two consecutive years, he must be notified in writing at least twice during one year.
Instead of revoking a member’s membership, the Board of Directors may take a decision to freeze membership for a period determined by the freezing decision.
